As the years passed and Ash traveled across many regions, he often found himself thinking about her. Despite all the adventures, battles, and companions he had met along the way, Serena remained special in his heart. He missed her more than he cared to admit and often wondered where she was and how she was doing. However, Ash had always been aware of something about himself that very few people realized. Many believed that he was dense and completely oblivious to romantic feelings, but that was not the truth. In reality, Ash only pretended to be dense. He deliberately acted that way so that no girl would develop feelings for him. Deep down, he knew exactly where his own heart belonged. Ash had long ago realized that the person he truly loved was Serena.
